Government should find more proactive ways of dealing with the issues instead of implementing a complete ban.
LAHORE: This is with reference to Hamid A Rashid’s article “Why ban Basant?” (March 15). It is indeed a shame that a festival as popular as basant cannot be celebrated by the people of Lahore any more. I agree with the writer in that the government should find more proactive ways of dealing with the issues instead of implementing a complete ban on a joyous festival which also contributes to our tourism industry.
Now all that Lahoris are left with is dengue!
