While award is definitely well-deserved, why did the government recognised her efforts only after she received Oscar?
LAHORE: It is heartening to note that the Government of Pakistan intends to give the Hilal-e-Imtiaz award to Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy. It is high time that we start recognising our real heroes and give them suitable rewards for their effort and hard work. While the award is definitely well-deserved, why is it that the government recognised her efforts only after she received an Oscar?
