Our editorial of March 8, titled, “Vote of anger” incorrectly stated that the leader of the Samajwadi Party, which has swept the recent election in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh was Chief Minister Mayawati. The party is lead by Mulayam Singh Yadav and his son Akilesh. The error is regretted.
