But I do not agree with Mr Baloch’s assertion that the central government has neglected human resource development.
LOMA LINDA, CA, US: This is with reference to Sanaullah Baloch’s article of March 8, titled, “Remembering the women of Balochistan”. I agree with the writer that Balochistan is the least developed part of the country and I also agree about the state of its women, health and education.
But I do not agree with Mr Baloch’s assertion that the central government has neglected human resource development. Please correct me if I am wrong but how many Baloch sardars or nawabs have requested of the federal government to build a school, college or university in their province?
Has any sardar or nawab ever asked the federal government to send bright young civil servants from other province on deputation to Balochistan so that they can impart training to their Baloch counterparts?
The answer to all these is ‘never’ — and on the contrary, the little help that the province was getting from teachers and doctors of other provinces is also no longer there because these people were being targeted in recent acts of violence by the separatists.
