ISLAMABAD: It is quite evident that Ms Wahab is showing only one side of the picture by saying that the PPP-led government has done wonders for the country. She must know that the other side of the picture is very grim and gloomy. Her undiluted praise for the government’s apparent ‘achievements’, in fact, suggests to readers that she is completely unaware of the plight of ordinary people under the current government.
I would suggest that she and other such members of her party, read reports of Transparency International and other watchdog bodies so that they can get a clearer picture of the state of Pakistan today.
Even if we compare our economic growth rate with countries in our immediate neighbourhood, we ranked last. So what exactly have we achieved through the passage of the constitutional amendments that the writer speaks of?
