Held in contempt

Letter February 03, 2012
Justice means action in all directions. It is does not mean sparing some and targeting others.

ISLAMABAD: This is with reference to your editorial of February 3 titled “Held in contempt”. One wishes that the Supreme Court would show similar enthusiasm on the case of the missing people of Balochistan or in the pending case of Air Marshal Asghar Khan (which has now been marked for hearing, 15 years after it was filed!).

It seems that those who lead elected civilian governments are much easier to summon before the apex court. I would only say that the honourable Chief Justice of Pakistan should know that when he was suspended from his post by General Pervez Musharraf, it was agencies’ personnel who physically stopped from moving about freely.

Justice means action in all directions. It is does not mean sparing some and targeting others.
