What happened to the Great People?

Letter January 31, 2012
Going through our past, one feels that we were also civilised, literate, disciplined, hard-working and committed.

TORONTO: This is with reference to Anwer Mooraj’s article of January 30 titled “What happened to the Great People?”.

Going through our past, one feels that we were also civilised, literate, disciplined, hard-working and committed. But something happened. Was it because the generation before us was more honest, more devoted and more educated? Or, was it because they were more God-fearing and law-abiding than us.

As someone has rightly said, if wealth is lost nothing is lost, if health is lost something is lost, but if character is lost all is lost.
