I suggest that the retired military officers should join the APML if they really want to help General Musharraf.
LAHORE: In their first meeting, 150 retired generals and senior officers of the Air Force and Navy, who have set up the ‘Pakistan First’ group, have demanded that General Pervez Musharraf be allowed to return Pakistan and that the government should provide him security.
I suggest that the retired military officers should join the APML if they really want to help General Musharraf. It will be a great service to the country and the teeming masses if all retired generals participate in politics and provide an alternative to the people of Pakistan in terms of honest and competent leadership.
The general should also know that in Pakistan a politician becomes a true leader in the eyes of the masses once he or she has spent a few years in prison.
