MILFORD, CT, US: Mansoor Ijaz has repeatedly claimed that he himself authored the memo in consultation with Husain Haqqani and says that his BlackBerry transcripts should corroborate what he is saying. That is why the Supreme Court is taking what he has said seriously. As for the DG ISI visiting Arab countries to lobby for the PPP-led government’s dismissal — that is hearsay. Mansoor Ijaz has claimed that someone told him this, so it is, at best, second-hand information. However, if another piece of evidence surfaces, such as an Arab leader coming forward and saying that he met the DG ISI, then this statement too could be taken seriously.
