Islam forbids the killing of any innocent person and regards it as the killing of the entire human race.
KARACHI: Any person with basic knowledge and understanding of the Holy Quran fails to understand the processions being taken out by some so-called religious parties in support of Salmaan Taseer’s assassin. Islam forbids the killing of any innocent person and regards it as the killing of the entire human race. Even if a person is alleged to have committed a crime, no matter how serious it may be, one cannot take the law into his own hands to punish him. One has to take recourse to concerned authority for taking appropriate action in a court of law.
Instead of upholding the rule of law which is the essence of Islam, our so-called religious leaders are encouraging unethical and un-Islamic practices in the country.
