On what basis does the author think that members of parliament would be more fair than sitting chief justices.
ISLAMABAD: This is with reference to Saroop Ijaz’s article of January 8 titled “Seen to be done”. My question to the writer is that on what basis does he think that members of parliament would be more fair than sitting chief justices of the high courts. Have we not seen the miserable state which our politicians have brought our nation to? As for the parliamentary committee already being seized of the issue, is it not the case that the committee would have a majority of members from the ruling party and that it’s ability to investigate the PPP-led government could be called into question as a result of that?
