A year later judge that sentenced Qadri has fled the country, while question remains which judge will hear his appeal?
LAHORE: On the first death anniversary of Salmaan Taseer’s assassination, the situation is as follows: his murderer was convicted but the judge who sentenced him had to flee the country along with his family. The decision as appealed and will be heard before the high court, but the question is that which judge will agree to hear the appeal and what will happen if he turns down the appeal, thereby affirming Mumtaz Qadri’s conviction?
