The current nexus between the mullahs and the military needs to be broken.
LAHORE: Pervez Hoodbhoy has said many brave things in his article. We need to follow the model followed in Muslim countries like Egypt or Turkey. The current nexus between the mullahs and the military needs to be broken and the only institution which can do this is the superior judiciary. After all, it would be in the national interest that our military is guided by the government acting under the Constitution and is not beholden to intolerant and bigoted clerics in any manner.
