KARACHI: I bought a return ticket online from a domestic airline for the Karachi-Lahore sector and it cost around Rs25,000. This is Rs6,000 higher than a return ticket that I bought for flying to a city in Saudi Arabia on a foreign airline. How can fares to cities within Pakistan be higher than to fares for overseas travel?
And these higher fares are coming at a time when domestic airlines are suffering from flights delays and cancellations, as well as shoddy in-flight service. Will the government or the Civil Aviation Authority come to the aid of the flying public?
