LONDON: Benazir Bhutto was a courageous woman, but her shahadat should not be an excuse for the worst government that Pakistan has seen so far. The writer’s father and other senior PPP leaders are crying themselves hoarse that ‘conspiracies’ are being hatched against democracy but surely they should understand that ordinary Pakistanis are fed up because of the government’s poor performance on governance. Has the government made any effort to focus on the real issues and how to improve them? Take the case of Pakistan Railways which seems to be dying a slow death. And also consider the national flag carrier, PIA. Almost half of its fleet is grounded with no news or information from the airline as to what it is doing to address this crisis.
At the moment, we all stand for Imran Khan.
