KEARNY, NJ, US: This is with reference to your report of December 20 titled “DG ISI should have resigned after May 2 incident: Asma Jahangir”.
If Pakistan wants to be an independent and progressive nation then its military will have to be governed according to the country’s constitution. Our military seems to run the country according to its own rules and regulations and this is why we have had so many military governments in the past. At the very least, the head of the ISI should step down so that the inquiry into memogate can be impartial. After all, this was precisely the reason given by Husain Haqqani when he resigned from his post of ambassador of Pakistan to America.
