Kudos to Bushra Gohar for saying what should be on every fair-minded person’s lips.
ISLAMABAD: While we are on the subject of bravery let us note the ‘courage’ of our highly proactive electronic media on the issue. Mansoor Ijaz’s statement about the DG ISI was staring them all in the face for over a month because it was part of his BlackBerry message transcript and was readily available on the web as well. However, to the best of my knowledge, only one columnist in the whole country, Marvi Sirmed, writing for the Daily Times wrote on this. Why was everyone else, including the likes of Kamran Khan, Hamid Mir, Kashif Abbasi, Naseem Zehra et al quiet about this till two days back? Didn’t they bother to read the BBM transcript or were they too afraid to comment on this part of the drama?
Are they incompetent or complicit? Kudos to Bushra Gohar for saying what should be on every fair-minded person’s lips.
