We should think about our poor and not about the warmongers urging us on to take unnecessary confrontations.
PESHAWAR: This is with reference to a report in this newspaper titled “Obama to sign bill freezing aid to Pakistan: White House”. This is tragic. We need military and civilian aid, there should be no doubt about that. Sloganeering and false patriotism should not replace calm analysis and a realistic approach towards the real issues facing Pakistan. I hope Pakistan will realise this and avoid becoming a pariah state with an agenda of isolation. We should think about our poor and not about the warmongers urging us on to take unnecessary confrontations.
