It is hoped that this bill, once turned into an act, would help in protecting women from cruel practices.
LAHORE: The recent bill, passed in senate relating to the protection of women, is a commendable effort in the right direction. Such measures have been needed for several years. There are many acts pertaining to women’s rights already in place, but they have hardly succeeded in making a difference in reality. It is hoped that this bill, once turned into an act, would help in protecting women from cruel practices thus, making the society safe for women in Pakistan.
