In the present situation, people tend to avoid contacting the police for any issue.
KARACHI: The police department does not invest time and finances into the training of its staff. Police personnel lack professional skills, which is evident when they perform their duties. It is important that the institution should hold continuous and rigorous training programmes, to polish their professional skills.
This will not change their attitude towards their work and would result in garnering public respect. In the present situation, people tend to avoid contacting the police for any issue. If this perception changes and the trust of the people is restored, the law and order situation in the country could also improve.
