ISLAMABAD: The writer seems to think that Germany has a role to play in this part of the world, it doesn’t. Germany behaves like a vassal state of the US, following it in whichever misadventure the latter takes. Before Germany can wield influence it must gain respect of this region and that doesn’t come by behaving like America’s poodle.
