The US will find more coercive methods to bring the Pakistani military to their knees if does not agree to demands.
ISLAMABAD: This is with reference to Moeed Pirzada’s article of December 2 titled “Nightmare at Salala”. The coalition support funds have been suspended for the past several months, because the US attached conditions to their disbursement and raised various objections. In that context, and following the tragic November 26 incident, now may well be a good opportunity for the Pakistani government to effectively delink itself from this difficult arrangement, which is at this stage only getting more and more problematic. However, rationally speaking, if the Pakistani military does not agree to America’s demands and if they do not capitulate soon enough, the US will find more coercive methods to bring them to their knees.
