Instead of chest-thumping and muscle-flexing, Pakistan should be careful in what it wants in the future.
HERNDON, VA, US: This is with reference to Sami Shah’s article of December 1 titled “Bonn in the USA”. Instead of chest-thumping and muscle-flexing, Pakistan should be careful in what it wants in the future. The military high command had made some tough-sounding statements though the defence minister has said that the ban on the Nato supplies could be reviewed.
The obvious thing that comes to mind is that why is the civilian government not asserting itself, especially following what happened on May 2? We all know, or we should know, who is all powerful in Pakistan and that the civilian government is yet again being made a scapegoat. It will also be fair to assume that everything will be back to normal as soon as military aid starts flowing again.
