Unless politicians stop being corrupt, selfish they will not be respected, loved by the masses.
ISLAMABAD: This is with reference to your editorial of November 19 titled “The case of the curious memo”. In it, you have advised the government and the ruling PPP to follow the path adopted by the ruling Justice and Development Party in Turkey.
However, my issue with that is that does the PPP-led government have the same moral authority as its counterpart in Turkey. If our government had been following rule of law and the Constitution it would have no difficulty in subduing any force in opposition to it.
The crux of the matter is that unless our politicians stop being corrupt and selfish they will never be respected and love by the masses or the obedience of the departments that they rule.
