People, nothing spectacular is on the way; it is simply another change of underwear.
LAHORE: Dr Tariq Rahman’s brilliant (as always) analysis in his article “What kind of change?” (November 15) of what the current tsunami is all about brings to mind a conversation I had with a young man recently on an intercity bus journey. He talked of “change” that is long overdue and I immediately placed him as just another drop in the tsunami.
Reading Dr Rahman, Kamran Shafi, Feisal H Naqvi and others — and also because the new leader has now accepted that there are no angels in politics — I now know what this change will be all about. People, nothing spectacular is on the way; it is simply another change of underwear, and it will be one that will likely leave us hurting where it hurts the most.
