Nothing will change for the people of Pakistan unless they themselves change their habits and attitudes.
LONDON: This is with reference to Shahzad Chaudhdry’s article “Can Imran Khan change Pakistan?” (November 6). Nothing will change for the people of Pakistan unless they themselves change their habits and attitudes and come forward and install a new and just system, which is ‘democracy of the majority’. Such a system can be evolved only by the participation of the masses by organising ‘co-operative collectives’ of the people in every locality. This is the only way people can organise the means to have true and effective representation.
By coming together, people will be able to become vigilant and observant of how their hard-earned tax money is being used or abused. Co-operative collectives all over the country will ensure that people can take corrective actions through their effective representation and avoid any adversity to their common interests.
When people are prepared to think about the best way forward for them and act together to translate their common thoughts into action, peacefully and methodically, they can certainly achieve what they want.
It is our own collective action which will help us in making our country heaven or hell.
