I agree wholeheartedly with Kamran Shafi and we need to educate the younger generation on such matters.
SINGAPORE: The sad irony is that most of the younger generation looks down on the Bhuttos, and perhaps rightly so to some extent because of the public perception of Benazir’s two governments. However, the fact of the matter is that the Deep State physically eliminated Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and his three children and left Nusrat Bhutto so truamatised that she even lost her memory. She did try and stand up for democracy after her husband’s murder, when General Zia was in power. As for Mr Bhutto, he may have done many things but he wasn’t corrupt like the present generation of generals and politicians. I agree wholeheartedly with Kamran Shafi and we need to educate the younger generation on such matters.
