I find it interesting that none of the ‘PPP brigade’ wrote on how she was removed as chairman of the PPP in the 1990s
SAN DIEGO, CA, US: This is with reference to Kamran Shafi’s article of October 28 titled “Remembering Nusrat Bhutto”. I find it rather interesting that no one from the ‘PPP brigade’ is writing or mentioning why and how the “mother of democracy” was removed from her post as chairman of the PPP in the 1990s and that this was done by her own daughter. Also, no one seems to be writing about how she was made to stay at the prime minister’s official residence and later moved to Dubai, all so that she could not publicly support her son Murtaza Bhutto’s party or his children.
RIP Nusrat Bhutto.
