Murder, by any other name

Letter October 24, 2011
Only a handful of people showed up for a vigil recently held in Islamabad for the Hazara community.

ISLAMABAD: Saroop Ijaz’s article “Murder, by any other name” of October 24 was very good and beautifully argued. It reminded me of the time that a friend tried to organise a vigil recently in Islamabad for the Hazara community. Only a handful of people showed up, which was held at Civil Junction in Islamabad. All the ‘zaban daraz’ activists stayed away from it, presumably since they must be busy solving more urgent and important problems facing humanity.
