Upholding the law

Letter October 20, 2011
The honourable judge should not be persecuted for trying to defend the sanctity of the law of the land.

GRAND RAPIDS, MI, US: This is with reference to Muhammad Haider Imtiaz’s article titled “Watching the death dance in Qadri’s Pakistan” published on October 20. The judiciary is supposed to be the foundation pillar of a democratic country, with lawyers its protectors. The rot in Pakistani society runs deep and it has affected all segments of society. The honourable judge should not be persecuted for trying to defend the sanctity of the law of the land.
