Why doesn’t the company instead ask its own linemen or area engineers for assistance on catching kunda connections?
LAHORE: A government advertisement was shown on various television channels calling upon the citizens of Pakistan to “wake up” and look for kunda connections and to then inform the electricity providing companies on a toll-free number.
This gives rise to several questions: 1. Does the electricity provider not know who is stealing its electricity and who is not? 2. Why doesn’t the company instead ask its own linemen or area engineers for assistance on catching kunda connections?
If the people working in the electricity companies in senior management positions are not aware of such things, then they should be replaced by efficient managers.
All power companies in the country that are regularly running such adverts should not expect consumers who are already paying regularly and who have to experienced ever-rising power tariffs to also monitor illegal connections. That should be the jobs of the companies themselves.
