Constructive criticism, please

Letter October 09, 2011
At least, Hina Rabbani Khar seems to be trying to do whatever the country expects of her in a dignified manner.

ISLAMABAD: This is with reference to a letter by Farrah Muldoon titled “Fatima Bhutto on Hina Rabbani Khar” published in your newspaper on October 7.

I agree with the Ms Muldoon because it seems as if Ms Bhutto does not have much to offer by way of constructive engagement on this issue. All she does is blame her late aunt and her husband, the president, for all the ills that currently plague Pakistan.

In any case, someone like Ms Bhutto should know that it’s not easy to be a female politician in a male-dominated conservative society like ours. It is very easy to criticise but much harder to actually do something. At least, Hina Rabbani Khar seems to be trying to do whatever the country expects of her in a dignified and mature manner. And if there are any flaw or deficiencies they will be cleared in due course of time.
