Is there anyone who can educate me on why Pakistan should engage in talks with these barbarians?
MUSCAT: This is with reference to your editorial of October 5 titled “Talking to the Taliban”. I am sick and tired of hearing about peace talks and people saying that military operations are no solution to Pakistan’s terror problem.
Is there anyone who can educate me on why Pakistan should engage in talks with these barbarians? Don’t they know that the ideology, if it can be called that, of these people is plain and simple: “You do as we say or you are dead”?
How can any state agree to negotiate with such a group of people? I am welcome to any arguments to the contrary from readers.
