why don’t we stop Nato forces from using our soil for transporting supplies and why don’t we stop the drone attacks?
LAHORE: Every few months, the Pakistani military threatens to end cooperation with the US. And every time this happens, it receives a round of applause from the nation and the media. However, we all conveniently forget that the present army and ISI chiefs have received extension in their tenures by three years.
But the emotional rhetoric aside, what does this posturing really achieve? All it does is that it helps raise the image of the military leadership in the eyes of the general public. I am not at all challenging the latter’s integrity or sincerity, but I am saying is that if we are so concerned about our sovereignty, then why don’t we stop Nato forces from using our soil for transporting supplies and why don’t we stop the drone attacks?
