Let the people, not arm-chair analysts, decide what is in the national and public interest.
LAHORE: This is with reference to your editorial of September 24 titled “Time for some hard decisions”. What needs to be done by the government is that it should hold a single-point referendum in which the people are asked the following question: “Should Pakistan prevent all UN-designated terror groups from operating on its soil and ensure that they do not launch attacks on other countries using bases inside Pakistan?”
Let the people, not arm-chair analysts, decide what is in the national and public interest. Clarity in thought is essential as is integrity in execution of planned policy.
