Important to note that their enablers give them a pseudoreligious respectability by terming their ‘resistance’, jihad
DUBAI: This is with reference to your editorial of September 15 titled “The shameless Taliban enterprise”. It was a well-written piece and had cogent arguments in that one needs to expose the Taliban for what they truly are: a gang of fascist, misogynist thugs who masquerade as freedom fighters when, in fact, they are anything but that.
But it is important to remember that their enablers are not only the shadowy figures in the background who give them a pseudo-religious respectability by terming their ‘resistance’ as jihad, but also apologists who attempt to distinguish between ‘good’ and ‘bad’ Taliban.
This is like trying to distinguish between a good Nazi and a bad Nazi — it is the stuff of nonsense and a futile exercise.
