It is the legacies of the obscurantist Maududi and the All India JUI that dictate Pakistan’s ideology today.
ABU DHABI: Feisal Naqvi’s article of September 6 titled “Dancing for joy? Haw hai!” was excellent. Pakistan came into being because of a liberal man — Jinnah — who was opposed by the obscurantist Maududi and the All India JUI, yet it is the latter two whose legacies dictate Pakistan’s ideology today.
