KARACHI: This is with reference to Khaled Ahmed’s article of August 21, titled “Nawaz Sharif’s ‘roads’ doctrine”. The idea that Mr Sharif has initiated may not be perfect but it has opened a new window of consideration. As a nation, we have developed a habit of enjoying emotional, black and white debates, lacking rational thinking. Let us start thinking about alternatives to solve our issues. We spent 64 years in adventurism but achieved nothing other than poverty, terrorism, political anarchy and corruption which, unfortunately, have become our identity. Economic stability, as an alternative, can lead us out of this vicious circle.
