The Rangers personnel clearly took the law into their own hands.
KARACHI: Even if Sarfaraz Shah was involved in looting, he hadn’t killed anyone and neither Sharia nor Pakistani law allows killing someone just because he is robbing another person. The Rangers personnel clearly took the law into their own hands. This was nothing but a case of murder and I for one am relieved at the verdict. Those who disagree with me should consider what would happen if the authorities are allowed to take the law into their hands — will they not exploit it to their advantage?
