LAHORE: On this Independence Day, we should all try and set personal goals for ourselves — goals that we think are doable. I personally would like to set the goal that I will not litter at all and will try and make the environment around me as pollution-free as possible. I think it is about time that we stopped blaming the world for our ills and started taking concrete action — no matter how minute or mundane — to improve our lives. If a substantial proportion of Pakistanis do this, one can only imagine what change could be brought about in society as a whole.
