Students using the public library in Turbat have raised concerns about basic facilities, including drinking water, seating, washrooms, ventilation and the overall study environment. Insufficient chairs and tables can force students to sit on the floor or leave when the library becomes crowded. Non-functional or inadequate fans can make prolonged study difficult, particularly during periods of high temperature. Poor washroom conditions and the absence of safe drinking water further reduce the suitability of the facility for students.
These may appear to be small administrative issues, but collectively they can create a major barrier to learning. This is particularly difficult for students who travel considerable distances to use the library because they do not have an adequate study space at home.
The relevant authorities should conduct a complete inspection of the library and address the reported problems. Students who come to the library are making an effort to educate themselves. They deserve a clean, safe and comfortable environment in which to do so.
