Since June 2026, various areas of Kech district have benefited from the introduction of local bus services, a facility that has been widely welcomed by residents. The green bus service now operates across nearly every area of Turbat. However, the area of Ginnah has been notably excluded from this facility, highlighting a clear disparity in the distribution of public services — one where certain areas are well-provided for while others are left without local transport.
Many people in Ginnah travel on foot for their daily needs. Those who do rely on transportation are often compelled to pay excessively high fares, sometimes over Rs1000 for meagre distances. This financial burden disproportionately affects students, workers and low-income families who depend on affordable transport for their everyday activities.
I request the concerned authorities to extend the local bus service to Ginnah at the earliest opportunity. Providing this facility would not only reduce the financial and physical strain on residents but also help ensure equitable access to public services across Turbat.
