Education is a basic need for everyone, but the rising prices of textbooks, notebooks, pens, school bags and other stationery items have created serious difficulties for students and their parents. Many poor families cannot afford to buy all the necessary educational materials. As a result, students may face problems in their studies.
The government should take immediate steps to standardise and decrease the prices of books and stationery. It should also provide affordable educational materials to deserving students and encourage senior students to pass down books. This would not only ease the financial burden on parents but also promote a sense of sharing and responsibility among students. I request the concerned authorities to pay attention to this important issue and take practical steps to make educational materials affordable for everyone.
