AI is rapidly changing education, healthcare, business, communication and employment around the world. Pakistan should also take steps to benefit from this technological development.
For Pakistani students and young people, AI can provide new opportunities for learning, freelancing, research, entrepreneurship and professional development. However, many students, particularly those in rural areas, have limited access to digital resources, modern technology and proper training. Without equal access to technology and education, the digital divide may become wider.
The government, educational institutions and technology organisations should introduce AI and digital-skills programmes for students and young people. Universities and colleges should provide practical training so that students can learn how to use AI responsibly and productively. Investment in digital infrastructure, affordable internet access and technology education can help Pakistan prepare its youth for the future.
By preparing our youth for the AI-driven future, we can turn technological change into a source of national development.
