Ethical AI use

Ethical AI use

KARACHI:

The panic surrounding Artificial Intelligence in schools is missing the point. For the past few years, we’ve treated tools like ChatGPT as high-tech cheating devices, implementing bans and plagiarism detectors that are easily bypassed. It’s time to shift the conversation from policing to integration.
AI has the unprecedented potential to act as a personalised, 24/7 tutor for every single student, regardless of their socioeconomic background. Imagine a classroom where a teacher can focus on mentorship and critical thinking while an AI adapts math problems in real-time to a child’s specific learning pace.
We aren’t teaching kids how to memorise facts anymore, we live in an era where facts are a click away. We need to teach them how to ask the right questions, verify sources and use AI ethically. If our education system keeps fighting the future, our students will be the ones who lose.
