Sporting opportunities

KARACHI:

Across Balochistan, children and teenagers can be seen playing cricket, football and other sports with great passion. Many of them have real talent but very few opportunities to move forward. Most schools and colleges do not have enough funds to organise sports tournaments, while national sports federations rarely hold training or recruitment camps in the province. As a result, many talented players are unable to reach the national level despite their hard work.
The government and sports federations should establish coaching centres, organise regular tournaments and provide proper training and support for young athletes. Balochistan has immense sporting talent. It only needs a fair chance to shine and represent Pakistan.
