KARACHI:
Residents of Shahbaz Colony, located in Khairpur Nathan Shah of District Dadu, have been facing a severe shortage of drinking water for several days, causing immense hardship, particularly to women, children and elderly citizens. The affected residents have submitted a written application to the Municipal Committee and repeatedly contacted the concerned water supply officials. Although they were assured that the matter would be addressed, no practical action followed.
The prolonged disruption of water supply reflects serious administrative negligence. Access to safe drinking water is one of the most basic public services, and its continued denial exposes residents to unnecessary hardship and health risks. The local government, the district administration and the Municipal Committee Khairpur Nathan Shah must take immediate notice of the issue, restore the water supply without further delay and ensure accountability of the officials responsible for this neglect.
