Necessity of tuitions

Necessity of tuitions

KARACHI:

Although tuition can prove to be very useful in academics, the current scenario shows that most Pakistani students require tuition nowadays owing to a lack of sufficient classroom learning to prepare them for examinations.
There is generally a limitation on the part of the teacher in terms of large class sizes and syllabus in many cases, hence, students have no choice but to seek out tuitions to fill in the gap. They take on all the extra workload and monetary stress to cope with academic requirements, which also plays a role in causing educational disparity between students who can afford extra classes and those who cannot.
Tuition services should remain an optional supplement for students. Educational institutions need to focus on good teaching, concept-based learning and overcoming logistical problems regarding a classroom to make sure that students receive proper education in a school environment. Moreover, it is necessary for the government to register tuition centres in order to curb exploitation and excessive fees in the name of academic excellence.
