Development or ignorance?

Development or ignorance?

KARACHI:

Since the beginning, humans love to invent new things. Our minds always want to find the secrets of nature, and this makes us different from other animals. But sometimes, for our own comfort and so-called development, we hurt the earth and its creatures. The biggest mistake we are making is cutting down trees.
As factories and industries grow, trees are disappearing. This is why the earth is getting hotter by the day. Because of this extreme heat, thousands of humans and innocent animals are dying. Is it fair to make birds and animals homeless just for our benefit? Can these factories ever give us the oxygen that trees give us quietly, without hurting anyone?
I do not mean we should never cut trees. But if we must cut a tree, it is our duty to plant a new one in its place. Since we cut trees, we have less rain and more heat. Yet, we blame it on the nature. No! This is our own fault. We are destroying the balance that God created, and now we are suffering.
Trees are the lungs of the earth. If these lungs are gone, how can we breathe and survive? All our knowledge will be useless. There is still time: plant trees and bring back the greenery. This will save both the chirping birds and our humanity, and the earth will bless us for making real progress.
