On 30 May, 2026, our locality in Turbat experienced a serious electricity problem. In certain areas, the voltage level increased sharply, while in others, it decreased sharply. The unexpected rise and fall in voltage caused severe damage to electrical appliances. Several families incurred heavy losses as they were not able to bear the cost of repairing or replacing these costly appliances.
Moreover, this problem caused several difficulties in day-to-day activities. Residents could not use their household appliances effectively and remained worried about more damage. Many residents registered numerous complaints with the concerned department, yet nothing was done to address the problem. Had appropriate action been taken at the right time, such troubles could have been avoided.
It is the duty of the electric supply company to supply electricity safely to its consumers. It is therefore requested that this problem be solved without delay, that proper checks be conducted and that necessary precautions be taken to avoid any future occurrences. Compensation should also be provided to the families who suffered losses due to this incident.
